A guide is the person we give the lead of way to, in absolute trust to take us to an expected destination.
For this God is our God for ever and ever;
He will be our guide even to the end.
Psalm 48:14 (NIV)
It is seemingly true that every man is blind to what will happen exactly in the next hour, day, week, month or year. As such we all need a guide that can lead us every step of the way,
Many people who are visually impaired feel comfortable traveling independently, but there may be times when a guide comes in handy.
In situations like crowded restaurants, parties, street crossings, or unfamiliar places, assistance may be needed.
The sighted guide technique, also known as human guide, is a way of walking with, and guiding, a person who is visually impaired safely and effectively.
Same requirement for a guide applies to every man on earth – as we all live every single day with mostly uncertain routine and unfamiliar circumstances.
The ONLY guaranteed Guide is the Almighty GOD who not only knows the end from the beginning, but remains omniscient forever and ever.
Like in the case of the Israelites’ journey from Egypt to Jordan, God Himself led them through the wilderness – and they were not ashamed.
But he brought his people out like a flock; he led them like sheep through the wilderness. (Psalm 78:52)
What happens when God Guides?
- Every obstacle is removed: For the Israelites, the Red Sea had to dry up for them to pass, because God is their lead through the journey of life.
He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led them through the depths as through a desert. (Psalm 106:9)
- There is abundant provision: God meets all our needs as we give Him the lead in our entire endeavour. As He takes the lead, He becomes our care-giver and very present help in times of need.
They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he made water flow for them from the rock; he split the rock and water gushed out. (Isaiah 48:21)
How Does God Guide?
God guides ALL who believe in Him, through His son Jesus Christ, to the path of life, while those who do not trust Him are led to destruction, apparently by the devil.
To have God take the lead in your life, all you need do is to confess Jesus as your Lord and saviour. Believe absolutely in His power to guide you to the best path of life. And abide daily in His Word, as you build intimate relationship with Jesus.
Give God the Lead of your life. Let Him guide you every step of the way. And you will succeed greatly!
This is what the LORD says — your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.
Isaiah 48:17 [New Living Translation]
