Prayer: Communication with God ~ II

Matthew 6:7 – 13 [NKJV]

Communication is the life blood of every relationship

Prayer connotes what we do to get God to do what we want.

Prayer can’t have a formula, we all relate with God at different levels because the every relationship is different.

When two people love each other, they long to be in the presence of each other.

Daystar Christian Center | Sermon Excerpts | Rev Sam Adeyemi | Jesus Reigns Blog | Olusola AdeyefaAs Christians we must always sense the desire to be with God.

God created man for fellowship. Man is an object of love for God.

God longs to hear from you, often.

Jesus warned that we should be careful that we don’t pray as the hidden do – with vain repetition

Prayer is a conversation with God. It is a monologue, not a dialogue.

Ephesians 3:20

God has the capacity to hear our thoughts, as much as our word.

This season, our relationship will become deeper

What will Prayer Produce in Our Lives?

  1. Prayer births our intimacy with God. Proximity is the key to intimacy. Exodus 33:12
  2. Prayer births revelation. When you hang with God, nothing happens. When HE speaks, power flow. So, you have to learn to listen to God.

Daystar Christian Center | Sermon Excerpts | Rev Sam Adeyemi | Jesus Reigns Blog | Olusola AdeyefaListening is a big act of communication. We should focus on listening to God, while we pray.

God reveals mighty things to us, when we listen in prayer.

When you hang out with God long enough, you will be able to recognize His voice.

The way we hear human speak, when we listen carefully, is the same way we can hear GOD, if we listen carefully

We declare that we will receive grace to commune and listen to God more. And God will turn every obstacle into an opportunity for us. Amen.
