Security is one of the most vital human needs. An entity can only retain its value when security is guaranteed. We often pay very reasonable amount of money to ensure that security is available at every point of our existence.
Security could be quite expensive, as it takes priority in the affairs of every nation, community, businesses, and family. However, there is another dimension of security that only requires trust.
The Apostle Paul admonished the Philippians when he realized that the most important peace every human need is the peace in our heart. When our heart is at peace, every other thing becomes easy.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:6
The only guaranteed peace for our heart can be found in God alone. How do we achieve this?
- Worry Not: Do not worry about anything. Do not fret. Do not be
apprehensive of what you do not have. Put your trust solely in God. - Pray to God: Make your requests known to God at all times. Nothing is too small or too big to tell God. He is the Founder and Maker of all things, and He knows all things from the beginning to the end. All we need to do in our relationship with Him is to ask Him anything and everything, and trust Him to answer our entire requests.
- Be thankful to God: Our appreciation to God is an expression of our faith and confidence in Him. When we thank God for the things He did, then we love Him. But when we thank Him for the things He is yet to manifest in our lives, then we trust Him.
The resultant effect is that the peace of GOD will secure of hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. When our heart is secured by the peace of God, there is no form of storm or trouble on earth, beneath the earth, or above the earth that can shake us.
From today, we shall enjoy the peace of God. Our trust will become stronger in God, as we commit all our ways and desires to Him. We will find rest in Him. Our hearts and minds will be perfectly secured in the peace that only God can give, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
