As believers, praying with expectation is a compulsory state of mind. We should never be satisfied with simply the exercise of prayer.
The call, motivation and drive to prayer is based on the promise of an answer. The cycle of prayer is never complete until there is the receipt of answers.
Expectation is anticipation of the receipt of something. Expectation is the ability to see what you desire before it arrives. Expectation is living in the reality of tomorrow today.
Genuine expectation affects our countenance.
Those who have genuine expectation have brightened countenance. The moment you can confirm an expectation, joy is stirred up.
Expectation confers confidence
When we are know that there is an answer, our confidence is heightened. Whether corporate or personal in prayers, expectation is non-negotiable.
The early church members were a corporately in one accord, with singular expectation. Singularity of purpose and expectation leads to supernatural manifestation.
Our expectations are vital instrument of God’s response.
Expectation cannot be genuine except it is specific. Jesus asked the blind Bartimaeus to be specific about his desire for mercy.
If your prayer will be answered, it must be expectation-loaded. If you cannot be specific, God cannot deliver your answer.
May none of us pray barren prayers again. Be specific, be expectant, and God will deliver your answers.
