Excerpts from Covenant Hour of Prayer, by Bishop David Oyedepo
“Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
~ Ephesian 5:16 (NIV)
The time we don’t invest, Satan will try to utilize. Every unscheduled tie is equal to waste. Time is an asset of equality. Everybody has same amount of time. While some invest it on opportunities, others waste it on frivolities.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.”
~ I Corinthians 6:12
Giving God priority place in our time is an ever worthy investment. One cannot have a heart for God and not have time for Him.
“My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways.”
~ Proverbs 23:26
A Case Study – Abraham
Abraham was a business mogul. He had an army. He was kingdom.
Genesis 14:14, 12:1. 17:11-23, 22:3
There was no instruction from heaven that escaped him. And God blessed him in all things. You cannot have genuine heart for God and the interest of His kingdom, without making strange marks of the earth.
Our most valuable asset in life is time. We must invest our time in the most valuable things in life.
“Abraham was now very old, and the LORD had blessed him in every way.”
~ Genesis 24:1
“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend.”
~ Isaiah 41:8
Friendship is a choice. Abraham’s love for God grew to a point where God called him, “My friend.” Becoming Go’s friend is a massive favour. It provides a covering for you. It makes the devil fear you.
Genesis 18:17-33
Abraham loved everything God love. May we be listed among God’s friends, and we remain so for life.
This year is a year of greater glory and greater impact. Amen!
