The Siege is Over, Rejoice!

Psalm 100:1-4

1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Whether the devil likes it or not, before this week is over, you will be free from all siege.

What is a siege?

In the olden days, cities are surrounded by a mighty city wall and a mighty city gate. This is to protect the people in the city against every enemy. It’s a very good form of defense.

2 kings 6:24-27.

24 And it happened after this that Ben-Hadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria.

25 And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.

26 Then, as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!”

27 And he said, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?”

When a city is besieged, the only way to be free is to get help from outside. The greatest and surest help is the one that comes from the Lord.

When a city is under a siege, it affects everybody, even the King is affected. There is only one person to call on, and that’s God. The king of kings and Lord of lord.

Fortunately, He’s willing to help somebody tonight. So how do we get in contact with Him?

Many people under siege and are aware of their siege, yet they can’t say it out. There is a God who can solve problem we can’t tell anybody about. He’s going to lift our siege this week.

Thanksgiving – When we are at the gate of the palace of the King of kings, the only way the gate will open for us is through thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is thanking God for what He has done for us in the past.
Praise – After the gate, there is the courtyard. And yo enter into the courtyard, we must do it with praise. Praise is telling God what He has done – His track record. This gives us access into the courtyard.
Worship – When we get into the courtyard, we must begin to worship Him. When we worship, we begin to tell God who He is. When we get to the depth of worship, God will arise. When we worship God, He will arise and show up for. At that point, our siege is absolutely over.

John 4:23-24, Psalm 68:1-3

Tonight, we will have three powerful sessions:

Session 1: Thank God – for we have obtained mercy from God.

Session 2: Praise God – we begin to tell God what He has done.

Session 3: Worship God – when we worship God the way we should worship Him, He draws near. At that point, we can be sure the devil has lost the battle.

We can only taste God by surrendering our lives to God. Say bye bye to a life of sin. If we like yo surrender to God, and we want to be born-again, take a significant decision that we want God to take over our lives.
